nightCauldron

art by jpstanley

red berries on a tangle of green vines

may become a sweet elixir this summer’s eve

as I await the dark cauldron of night

::

the twilight of sun

langourously stretches and bends,

the swiftness of wind

carresses swaying flowers and grasses,

my soul anticipates the shade of night

::

the splendor of the stars,

the rising of the summer night travelers

in their eternal march

across the endarkenment of the Celestial sphere

::

the wings of Cygnus

the majesty of Sagittarius

the music of Lrya

the strength of Hercules

::

their sparkling fades in the warm yellow glow

of the rising mystical illuminatrix…

renewer of souls

awakener of hearts

muse of poets

mysterious beauty
